Why Won’t My CDs Play Mp3s on My Sony Player?

I recently burned some MP3 soundtracks onto CDs, but they're not playing on my Sony CFD-S01 player. The player can recognize the CDs and show the music and time, but I can't hear any audio. It does work fine with regular audio CDs, though. Any ideas on what's going wrong?

Definitely make sure you’re burning them as audio CDs. Don't forget to close the session when you finish burning; leaving it open can cause playback issues. I learned that the hard way years ago!

It sounds like you might have burned the MP3s as data files instead of audio tracks. The Sony CFD-S01 can’t read MP3 files directly. Try burning the CDs as audio CDs instead! That should solve the issue.
