I have an HP Envy TE 301-3 running Windows 11 Home. Lately, I've been having issues where my desktop computer won't turn on if I have my second monitor plugged in through the HDMI port. It's an Asus monitor that I bought on Amazon about four years ago. After some trial and error, I've discovered that I can only boot the PC with the monitor disconnected. Once it turns on, I can plug in the monitor and everything works fine. I'm wondering if this means my monitor or graphics card is failing, or if there's another issue at play. I've been keeping my backups current, but any advice on how to resolve this would be appreciated!

You should definitely try updating your GPU drivers if you haven’t already. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause issues with multi-monitor setups, and that might be what's preventing the boot process when the second monitor is connected. Double-check in Device Manager to ensure you're on the latest version, and if everything looks good there, try uninstalling the drivers and then reinstalling them.

I checked Device Manager, and it says my drivers are up to date. Is there another way I might be missing? I can provide a screenshot if needed.
