Why won’t my new HDD show up in Windows?

I'm having trouble with my new HDD. It appears in the BIOS but doesn't show up in Windows—only my NVMe SSD is visible. I've tried to format it, but it's not recognized there either, and I even checked using the command prompt with diskpart, but it doesn't show up at all. I have some screenshots, but I can't share them here.

It's possible that certain SATA ports on your motherboard get disabled when you connect an NVMe drive to a specific M.2 slot. Take a look at your motherboard manual. If your NVMe is in a slot that's disabling some SATA ports, try switching it to a different one!

Have you checked if it shows up in Disk Management? Sometimes, you need to initialize and format it there before it becomes visible in Windows.
