Why won’t my computer recognize my new USB microphone?

I recently purchased a Fifine USB microphone because my old one stopped working. When I plug it in, it lights up, but I can't find it listed as an input option on my computer. It's also absent from "all sound devices" and hasn't shown up even after a PC reset. I've tried every USB port available, but nothing seems to work. I'm looking for advice on how to get it recognized by my computer.

If your mic is a USB model, try installing the necessary drivers. You might see it in the device manager under "Other Devices," which usually indicates a driver issue. If it’s a standard plug-in mic, there could be an issue with your sound card, and reinstalling the drivers could help.

It's a USB mic, and I updated the drivers, but nothing changed. There's something listed in device manager as "Unknown USB device (port reset failed)," which wasn’t there before.
