I'm looking to invest in a desktop PC that will last me at least the next five years for tasks like LLM training and AI video generation. I've never built a PC before, but I'm open to it. My budget is around £3,500, and I could maybe stretch for an RTX 4090 or 5080, though a 5090 is out of reach. I'm based in the UK. What would you recommend?

The RTX 4090 is pretty much out of production and hard to find at a reasonable price. If you’re looking for alternatives, the RTX 5080 offers similar VRAM to the 5070 Ti but isn’t much faster. I’d suggest saving some cash and going for the 5070 Ti instead. Here's a potential build:
- **CPU**: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K for about £247.
- **RAM**: 64 GB DDR5 for approximately £604.
- **Storage**: 2 TB NVMe SSD for around £260.
- **GPU**: The Zotac RTX 5070 Ti for about £819.
- **Total**: Roughly £2,306! You can find the full list on PCPartPicker.

That's a solid recommendation! Just to add, if you'll be doing serious LLM training, you'll want that VRAM. A 16GB GPU might restrict you, so look into options that could offer more. Also, consider increasing your RAM to at least 64GB for smoother video generation!
