Best DAWs for Linux and VST Availability?

I'm currently using FL Studio and have been hopping between multiple VSTs like Vital, Serum, Phase Plant, and Nexus. I'm running Arch and have even set up a fresh Windows partition for occasional gaming. However, I'm looking to fully transition to Linux and want to know which DAWs work best with VSTs. What are the current options for using VSTs on Linux?

You might want to look into using Wine or a bridge tool that converts Windows VSTs to Linux-compatible versions. There are some quirks, but most are manageable!

From my own experience, the limited VST support was a big factor in why I moved away from using Linux as my primary system. I struggled to get them to work, even with assistance from a developer of a well-known distro.

There are solutions now, at least with Reaper, that can help resolve these issues. You might want to check out some patches and workarounds.

If you’re looking for a good native DAW on Linux, I highly recommend Bitwig. I switched from FL to Bitwig and it has been a game-changer for me.
