Hey everyone! I just downloaded GTA V through Epic Games, and while the game launches fine, it automatically logs into a Rockstar account that doesn't belong to me. My Epic Games account is definitely mine, but the Rockstar account it's using is not. I'm unable to find any option to sign out or log into my own Rockstar account. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I really want to play using my own Rockstar account. Thanks for any help!

I had a similar issue, but mine was through Steam instead. I owned a Rockstar account from when I played Red Dead 2, but when I tried to launch the game through Steam, it logged me into an old hacked account. After some back and forth with Rockstar Support, I got it sorted out.
So, it might be that either your Rockstar account was hacked and linked to your Epic account earlier, or your Epic account itself was somehow connected to someone else's Rockstar account. If you haven’t had a Rockstar account before, you should probably reach out to Epic Games for help with disconnecting it, or just create a new Rockstar account, lock it down, and reconnect it to your Epic account.
Definitely try reaching out to Epic Support if you can't unlink the account yourself! It can be frustrating dealing with account issues. If you end up making a new Rockstar account, make sure to secure it with strong passwords and enable any security measures they offer. Good luck getting this sorted!
