I'm curious about Google's Veo and the data it uses for video creation. When Veo generates a video, does it use as much data as typical videos? Also, does Google store all of these created videos? It sounds like the costs for this could be huge, especially since the footage is in 4K. Maybe I'm missing something here?

When you create a video with Veo, it probably gets stored in your personal Google Drive or shared space, which technically makes it yours right away.
The cost to store video data for Veo is pretty minimal compared to the expenses involved in the AI processing needed to create those videos. It's just a fraction of the overall cost!
And let's not forget, Google already runs the biggest video platform globally, so they definitely have the know-how for video storage. They even offer 30 TB of storage for their Ultra users for about three months for under $250, which shows how capable Google is in terms of infrastructure.
If you're eager to find out how much data a single video uses, you could just download one and check it out yourself. Just keep in mind that Veo isn't free; a subscription for Veo 3 is $250 a month, not counting the initial three-month fee.
It's a bummer that Veo isn’t available in Germany yet. But that price tag really does shed light on how they manage to pull this off.

I totally get that. AI video generation seems super complex. With text, you can kinda estimate the data based on tokens, but for videos? That's another level!
