Is it safe to open message requests on Instagram?

Hey everyone, I received a message request on Instagram from someone I know, but since we're not friends, it landed in my message requests folder. The message was blurred, and I think META prevents media from being accessed this way. I unblurred the picture without thinking first, and now I'm worried it might have compromised my Android phone. The content was work-related, but I'm still concerned. I do have two-factor authentication set up on my Instagram account. Should I be worried about any potential risks?

Lol, don't sweat it too much! It’s just a blurred message, and as long as you didn't interact with any links or files, you'll be fine.

Nah, you're probably okay. Unless you downloaded anything from that message, it shouldn't pose any threat to your phone.

Just curious, did tapping the unblur option change anything for you? You might be safe, but it’s good to be cautious!
