Should I use my earbuds after they fell in the toilet?

Hey everyone! I had a little mishap today when my left earbud fell into the toilet. Luckily, it was a clean toilet, but I still feel super uneasy about it. I've already cleaned it with soap and sanitizer and let it air dry, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should do. Do you think it's safe to use, or should I just get rid of it?

Honestly, I wouldn't take the risk. That's a pretty crucial piece of equipment you put in a toilet, even if it was clean. Better safe than sorry! Just get a new pair, you know?

Yeah, I hear you. It just sucks because they're relatively new!

If your earbuds have a replaceable tip, I’d definitely just toss the old tip and get a new one. Douse the earbud in alcohol, and you should be fine! But if you're really unsure, maybe it's best to let it go.

It sounds like you’re doing everything right! Just make sure to clean it thoroughly and if you still have doubts, replacing them could be the way to go. Better to be safe!

I’d suggest hitting it with some 90% isopropyl alcohol. It really helps with sanitizing. If you’ve already done that a few times, it should be okay to use after drying properly. Just make sure to keep an eye on it!

I actually did that several times already, so that's good to know!
