Hey everyone! I'm looking for alternatives to iTunes because I primarily use it for managing my music library. I don't purchase music or log in to any accounts; I just need something that helps me stay organized. Are there any good options out there for Linux? The default music player just isn't working for me.

If you mostly listen to your MP3s, I personally use Shortwave for streaming. But for just playback, there are plenty of lightweight options that might suit your needs!

Another great option is Elisa. It's often regarded as the closest alternative to iTunes for Linux users. It’s free and you can find it in most package repositories.

You should check out the Strawberry music player. It’s user-friendly and does a great job handling music files.

Rhythmbox is a solid choice! I had a massive library of around 500GB on iTunes before switching, and luckily, most of it wasn't DRM protected since I ripped a lot of CDs. Now, I use the music player daemon along with ncmpcpp. It takes a bit of setup but honestly, I've come to like it even more than iTunes.
