I have a 2018 Asus Zenbook, and I primarily use Edge as my browser (although I'm open to trying a different one if it might help). I've noticed that when I play YouTube for background noise while working, the RAM usage keeps increasing. It only recently caught my attention when my laptop started getting really loud. When I checked the task manager, it showed that it was using around 2200MB and it just kept climbing. I've tried disabling all graphic enhancements in Edge, and even putting that tab into efficiency mode, but nothing seems to stop this excessive RAM consumption except for completely closing the tab. I apologize if I picked the wrong category for this; I'm not very tech-savvy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What video quality are you watching on YouTube? Is it 1080p, 4K, or something else? That could totally impact RAM usage.
2 GB of RAM isn't too much these days. How much RAM do you actually have? If you're looking for alternatives, Firefox might help with RAM management.
I wouldn't be too quick to blame YouTube for this issue. Browsers can use memory in unexpected ways sometimes. Have you considered trying a different browser like Firefox?
