I just built my new PC and when I power it on, everything seems to be running, but there's a red light on the DRAM. I get no output, and there's no lighting on my keyboard or any activity on the power IO. I'm wondering if this could be a RAM issue. Do I need RAM installed for my keyboard to light up, or could it be a problem with the motherboard? I would appreciate any advice you can give me!

Make sure to consult your motherboard’s manual, as different boards can have specific RAM slot requirements. Some need RAM in the first and third slots while others require the first and second slots. It could be a simple slot issue, so double-check that too!
It sounds like your system might not be detecting the RAM correctly. You definitely need RAM installed for the system to boot and for the keyboard lights to function. Have you double-checked that all RAM sticks are properly seated? Sometimes, they can look like they’re in but are not making a solid connection.
I actually did install the RAM and the RGB lights are on, but I’m not sure if that means it's working. I also tried resetting the CMOS by taking out the battery for a minute and pressing the reset button on my motherboard (NZXT Z790), but I still have the same issue.

The manual states to use A2 and B2 for the RAM, so I made sure that's how I installed it.
