I've started using hibernation mode on my laptop, which I had to enable via a console command since it wasn't available in my power plan. However, now it requires me to enter a password every time I wake it up from hibernation, while I don't need to do this after turning it on or waking it from sleep. I've already set up my account in Netplwiz to skip the password requirement, but it seems like that doesn't apply after hibernation. I'm using Windows 11 25H2 with all the latest updates. Is there a way to disable this password requirement after hibernation?

You can check the Settings app for an option to disable the password requirement after hibernation. Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and see if there's a setting regarding requiring a password after sleep or hibernation. Disabling that should help!
Honestly, is it that big of a deal to enter a password? If you really want to skip it entirely, you could just remove it from your account. Windows doesn't require you to have a password, you can just use a PIN if you prefer security when turning it on.

I thought if I remove the password, I might have to set a PIN instead? I heard Netplwiz might not work if there isn’t a password set.
